Debbie- It is a violation of FB’s terms of service to solicit business on your profile page. So, if you hope to get business from FB, you NEED to have a fan page. Once you have a fan page, you can invite anyone you are already connected with to your fan page, or you can advertise you fan page with other forms of FB advertising. Hope this helps!
