No Boundaries: Keller Williams Realty announces new Global Property Specialist designation

International buyers are ready to do business. In fact, from March 2011 to March 2012 the total amount of international sales dollar volume among international clients grew to $88.5 billion – a 24 percent increase.

Celebrating that opportunity and the launch of Keller Williams Realty’s Global Property Specialist designation during a luncheon at Mega Camp were more than 300 top producing real estate agents from around the world. “We’re thrilled that you are here today and that Keller Williams is bringing awareness and appreciation for this new designation,” said Chris Heller, President of KW Worldwide.

The announcement followed an in-depth panel featuring big international players from yesterday’s Mega Technology Camp. Mallina Wilson, associate with the Bellingham (Wash.) market center, Stephan Meyer, associate with the Boca Raton (Fla.) market center and Bill Hunt a consultant for KW Worldwide joined Ellen Marks, Executive Director of Marketing and Communications at the Keller Williams Realty International Support Center on stage to discuss what agents need to know to capture this growing consumer.

When asked where the biggest opportunity was for capturing today’s foreign buyers, Hunt said, “Purchases of Western real estate is on the rise. They’re coming from all over the globe and are seeking out homes as a primary place of residence or as a vacation home. The trend isn’t going away anytime soon.”

The Keller Williams Global Property Specialist (KW GPS) platform will provide a unique value proposition to members, as well as to international buyers and potential sellers, including: training and coaching, technology to enhance websites, online lead generation tools, marketing resources and a robust referral network through elite industry affiliations.

“Real estate professionals who are fluent in the minute cultural differences among buyers from other countries will be able to distinguish themselves as the first choice among a group of international consumers who are ready to buy up U.S. properties now,” said Heller. “This is a great leap forward for our associates already serving international clients and those that are ready to take advantage of this great opportunity.”
