Family Reunion is the largest, private event in the real estate industry. And with over 10,000 agents and leaders, 200 breakout sessions and endless networking opportunities, it’s certainly going to be an exciting five days!
All the things that make Family Reunion amazingly informative, fun and unique are also what can make it daunting – especially for first-time attendees. But don’t worry, seasoned Keller Williams veterans Mary Harker and Dick Dillingham are Family Reunion pros and have made it their mission to help first-timers get the most out of the event.
So for all you first-timers out there, here are Harker and Dillingham’s awesome tips!
Your Compass to Navigate Family Reunion
Pocket-sized and information pack, the Family Reunion program guide is your must-have accessory to get where you want to go! All attendees will receive their program guide at registration.
What are the top three issues you have in business today? Write them down. Go through the Family Reunion Guidebook you received when you checked in and look for sessions that will help you push through those challenges and reach your goals.
Don’t sit on your new knowledge! In your notebook put as “S” by great scripts you hear, put an “I” by great ideas and put a “T” by tools.
After Family Reunion, download the PowerPoints of your breakout sessions and use them as a review, or to teach your team or your market center. Or use them as a resource for data you might be able to share with your clients.
Make connections and purposefully mix and mingle with agents you don’t know. These colleagues will always be a resource to discuss new ideas, challenges and opportunities.
Ready, set, Referrals
Start by exchanging business cards. When you do always make sure you get theirs. When you get home either you or the person in charge of your database should enter all new contacts in your eEdge database.
Spread Your Social Footprint
Friend or follow everyone you meet on Facebook or Twitter. Share what makes you unique and trustworthy and then find out the same about them!
Be sure to follow the Family Reunion Social Media Ambassadors as well: https://twitter.com/bethtorrence/kwfr-ambassadors-2013
You can also follow all the social action LIVE at: http://blog.kw.com/livefeed/ and see your own posts go by when you include #KWFR, #KWRI, or #ONEthing.
Keller Williams Realty is a family and we sure do act like it! Instead of cold handshakes, you’ll find smiles and warm hugs. Mo Anderson, Vice Chairman of the Board, challenges associates to hug seven people a day. And in KW MAPS Coaching’s BOLD Experience program, associates are challenged to make 100 contacts in a week. Why not do the same at Family Reunion and challenge yourself to meet 100 people!
