Thousands of agents gathered this morning to hear Keller Williams Vice Chairman of the Board Mo Anderson moderate a discussion panel on how Associate Leadership Councils (ALCs) can find and hire talent to grow the success of the office and their own passive wealth.
The panel consisted of four team leaders – Ryan Secrist of Beach Cities, Calif., Lucas Sherraden of Overland Park, Kans., Russ Nolting of St. Louis, Ms. and Lesley Williams of Charlotte, N.C. – each of whom have successfully challenged their ALCs to refer talented agents who are interested in growing their careers.
The panel began the morning session by reciting a simple script that ALC members – who are also the top 20 percent producers in the market center – can use to uncover and connect with potential talent in their marketplace:
“I love doing co-op deals with you, you are awesome! I was just telling my team leader the other day how great you are, and he said he that was going to call you just to say thank you for the way you do business. Will you promise me you will take his call?”
They identified two win-win situations in particular, that happen when an ALC member becomes a powerful connector in their marketplace:
1. With a simple thank you and a business consultation, a relationship is developed with the agent, giving them incentive to work with the ALC member again and to sell more of their listings!
2. They become interested in our Win-Win culture, and talk to the team leader about becoming a valuable member of the KW family – increasing the potential for profit share!
The bottom line? Becoming a powerful connector and referring talented agents to your team leader is a WIN-WIN situation!
