On Saturday, August 9, Keller Williams associates and members of the Austin community joined forces for the 2014 Red Rally 5K to raise funds and awareness for Austin Pets Alive! The course was blanketed in a sea of red shirts as hundreds of runners, walkers and four-legged friends took to the pavement to promote APA! programs devoted to the healthy adoption of cats and dogs.
“We were ecstatic to partner with Austin Pets Alive! and work with another local organization dedicated to the Austin community,” said Keller Williams President Mary Tennant. “Keller Williams associates are passionate about finding the right homes for residents in Austin just as Austin Pets Alive! is devoted to finding forever homes for pets in need.”
As a reward for completing the race, pets received official Red Rally bandannas to commemorate their participation in the 5K. Doggy water stations and play pools were a big hit with the many dogs that joined in the Red Rally festivities, as was an interactive photo booth that captured special moments for race participants.
The 2014 Red Rally 5K was part of Keller Williams Realty International’s deep commitment to giving back to the community where it started and remains headquartered. The company, which has grown to be the largest real estate franchise in North America with more than 100,000 associates, challenges brokers, investors and agents to give generously where they live. The company also provides wellness programs, events and services to ensure healthy, productive lives. Since its founding in 1983, Keller Williams has helped millions of people across the globe find their homes. Likewise, as one of the country’s leading no-kill organizations, Austin Pets Alive! continues to help thousands of adoptable cats and dogs find their forever homes.
The race was made possible through the help of generous sponsors, including Gracy Title, United Lending and TMG. Additional support was provided by BuildASign, American Home Shield, Stevens Worldwide Van Lines, Team Spiridon, Beneplace, Map My Run, Nulo and VPI Veterinary Pet Insurance.
