KW Commercial (KWC) associates gathered in Phoenix, Ariz., for three days to immerse in training and networking at the 7th Annual KW Commercial Retreat. The event started with a gathering of the KWC Executive Leadership Council (ELC) who met to discuss the future direction of KWC and how the company can continue to grow and expand.
The Commercial Leadership Council (CLC) gathered to discuss the implementation of ideas that the ELC set forth. The afternoon concluded with a deal exchange between all attendees. Here, associates shared their listings, including a vineyard, a car wash and many other exciting properties around the world. Agents left with new contacts and leads for their properties.
Day 2 of the KWC Retreat opened with a powerful presentation by Mike Lipsey. Lipsey presented two separate topics at this year’s event: closing techniques and investment brokerage. KWC agents left with clear takeaways they could apply directly to their businesses. After a networking lunch, attendees then listened to Emily Line, vice president of commercial real estate services for Realtors Property Resource ®. Line presented on the topic “Be Involved in Economic Growth.” She shared how KWC agents can use RPR’s resources to get important data and reports for their clients.
Following Line, Joe Williams, co-founder of Keller Williams Realty, spoke to agents about “Building Wealth Through Your Own Joint Ventures.” Williams went over six key rules for investing. The day concluded with small sessions on international practice groups where agents could choose from four topics of focus: land, tenant rep, office and investment.
After a full day of learning, agents boarded shuttle buses to attend a networking event at TopGolf Scottsdale. The event is an attendee favorite at the retreat every year. Here they can meet agents from around the country while they enjoy dinner, drinks and golf games.
The final day of the KWC Retreat kicked off with the KW Commercial Vision 2020, presented by the new director of KW Commercial, Mark Moreno. “KWC has a bright future ahead,” Moreno said as he shared with attendees the projections and goals for KW Commercial over the next four years. “By 2020 KWC will double in size!”
Michael Griffin from ClientLook, KW Commercial’s newest vendor, shared with attendees how to use ClientLook CRM to achieve greater business success. Agents were excited to learn more about this new tool being offered by KWC. The retreat ended with Dr. Mark Dotzour’s discussion of the economic outlook, which he called “Playing Ball in the Later Innings.” Every year at the retreat Dotzour shares his findings on the economy and the anticipated direction over the upcoming years. This prepared attendees for what they needed to know as they concluded their retreat experience and returned to their businesses.
