Q: Will we be able to use custom domains for the neighborhood landing pages?
A: We're working on that. The goal is for you to be able to create custom URLs for your neighborhood marketing landing pages.
Q: What are we working on in terms of API and open architecture? In other words, are we allowing other companies to plug in and build custom applications for Command?
A: We want to build the first truly open real estate system. Once Command has been thoroughly tested in an open Labs environment, we'll open up API documentation to others and start building out our marketplace.
Q: Is there a place to learn how to use Command?
A: In addition to livestream training and our forthcoming Tech-Enabled Agent curriculum, there are several support features built directly into Command. Clicking the "?" icon in the upper right-hand corner of Command will take you to a searchable knowledge base with step-by-step guides. Additionally, there is a chat feature that allows you to connect directly with KW support.

Q: Are the stats in the neighborhood snapshot sourced just from Keller Williams data?
A: No. We are fully integrated into the MLS.
Q: What training and marketing support is rolling out for Command?
A: For outside of Keller Williams, you can point people to technology.kw.com and for KW agents, you can utilize the Tech-Enabled Agent resource page on Connect for a full training curriculum that is being built out. Additionally, we're supporting Command with a full schedule of livestream and on-demand training.

Q: Will neighborhood marketing be available by ZIP or customized in any way?
A: Consumers actually don't respond as well to ZIP code-based marketing, so we haven't spent quite as much time prioritizing that functionality. Especially since most MLSs and IDXs already have this feature. We are currently working on creating a better way to organize more rural areas in a way that appeals to consumers.
Q: Are White Pages going away? What's changing?
A: We are working on integrating White Pages into Command. We are excited about improving KW.com. Inside of Command there is a marketing profile that allows you to customize how you want to appear to consumers. Eventually, this profile is what will appear on KW.com.
Q: When is the consumer app coming?
A: The current KW Home Search App will be updated in Q2 2019 and become our brand-new consumer app. This is an entirely new app that connects with the Keller Cloud, but clients who have already downloaded your app won't have to download a new app – they will just need to update.

We're sitting in an open Q&A with Keller Williams president Josh Team. He's taking the opportunity to answer your questions on the technology we're building with you through Labs. He's starting with a walk-through of neighborhood marketing in Command. This is one of the features that agents are most excited about because it allows you to move from one-to-many to one-to-one marketing.
So, if you've been sending out one-size-fits-all marketing pieces organized by MLS or ZIP code, Command's neighborhood marketing capabilities upgrade your marketing to a curated experience organized organically with a hyperlocal focus.
"You're just a few button clicks away from creating a one-to-one experience," explains Josh.

A powerhouse panel has taken the stage: Ben Kinney, Brian Cane, Lance Loken and Steven Pilkington. They are offering their expertise on what to do when facing a changing market.
Brian Cane came to Keller Williams because of the last shift. "And, thank God I did," he adds. Keller Williams was born in a shift and that's why we've developed proven models to see agents through to the other side.
"I'm excited for the shift to happen now and to take advantage of the market," says Steven. "We read SHIFT and have prospecting parties. We're looking forward to it."
"That's the gift of a shift. It's going to force you to get real. It's a wonderful opportunity to build a stronger foundation. You'll come out of it a little stronger, a little better," adds Gary.
Ben Kinney agrees and sees the opportunity in tech. "Technology is a tool to empower us. There's a lot of fear about technology replacing us," says Ben. However, the one thing the technology can't do is helping people manage their wealth in real estate.
Gary agrees. "We're going to elevate our profession going through this [shift]."

Gary and Jay have compiled a list of what to do when a shift impacts your market:
- Set your mind – When a market shifts, there is only one thing you can do – shift with it
- Re-margin your business – Lower your expenses and invest in your business
- Get back to basics:
1. Lead generate, capture and convert to appointments
2. Present to buyers and sellers and get agreements
3. Show buyers and market sellers
4. Write and negotiate contracts
5. Coordinate the sale to closing
6. Manage the money
- Get your leverage right
- Find the motivated – It’s time to stop trying to get your fair share of the market and do all you can to get your unfair share

Gary and Jay are shifting gears to talk about the incoming market shift. There's a lot of uncertainty in the market today, but the bottom-line is that when the market changes, you have to change quickly.
"Shift happens," says Gary. "Most people are going to fight it and deny it and try to live through it without doing anything different. It never works that way. It's not about knowing, it's about taking action."
And, these are the two critical actions you have to take:
- Lead generation
- Lead conversion
Nothing matters more. In a shift nothing becomes more critical than finding motivated buyers and sellers and closing them to an appointment.

Mike McCann takes the stage with Gary and Jay to talk about why he loves real estate and why he made the choice to join Keller Williams.
After detailing his decades-long history in the industry, Gary asks, "Why are you still happy?"
"I'm grateful every day," Mike explains. "I wouldn't be successful without a wonderful wife and family. I've got that balance in there."
Mike also credits his team – who he also considers part of his family – and the mindset of hiring people for life as a significant contributor to his ongoing success and love of real estate. "If you love what you do, you never have to work a day in your life," he says.
"If you were giving me advice today, what are you telling me to do?" asks Gary. Mike's advice is simple:
- Become the most knowledgeable
- Have the best reputation in the marketplace with both your clients and fellow agents
- Do extra
- Invest in yourself
- Find a mentor

Real estate should be fun. So, how do we end up losing the fun?
- We don't keep the fun in lead generation
- We don't connect what we do to helping people
- We become attached to the job money, which doesn’t allow us to delegate jobs we don’t like or do well
- We invest in lifestyle instead of people or lead generation – You will never worry about money if you time block around lead generating for customers
- We don’t see real estate as a database-based business
- We allow what we do to never be enough

So, how is it that we end up falling out of real estate?
- We don't know what to do – Or, we know what to do but just don't want to do it.
- We don't know how to do it
- Too much to do, too little time – This is a simple business when you focus. There is lead generation and everything else. Time block accordingly.
- Failure to follow the plan – Plans fail when they get complicated, so keep things simple. Focus on growing the business and then on running it. Let complexity show up naturally as your success requires attention to detail.
- We're overcommitted
- The wrong people are doing the wrong things – A wrong hire means you get the job back or you get drama.
- We don't manage our health – "If you don't take care of your body, where are you going to live?" asks Gary.

What are some of the reasons you should love real estate?
- Low cost of entry – It costs just an average of $2,563 to become a real estate agent.
- No financial ceiling
- Freedom to choose your work
- Flexibility of schedule
- High financial return for effort given – It's about effort, not the amount of time you spend working. According to Gary, "There is no virtue in long hours."
- Inside opportunity to invest – Every great deal in real estate has passed through an agent's hands first.
- You get to help people with their greatest asset purchase – The average net worth of a renter is $5,200. The average net worth of a homeowner is $238,400. That's a factor of 45X!
- Best voyeur job – What other profession allows you go inside people's homes and get to know them and their families?

Last year, we stood on stage and said that we were a technology company because we saw that the industry and the world at large was changing. "We're in an age today where you need to own your own technology," explains Gary. "You need complete control. You have no choice."
Some who heard this doubted this claim, and today we're here to prove that we are a technology company and that we've built an innovation platform for our agents.
