June marks the beginning of something special – National Homeownership Month! This celebration took root in 2002 as a presidential initiative and has since brought the dialogue of supporting and expanding homeownership opportunities to communities across the country.
For over 33 years, Keller Williams has been committed to helping families across the country capture their piece of the American dream through homeownership. In May alone, 105,371 families were able to step into their dream home or sold their property with a Keller Williams agent.
To put things in perspective, a KW agent helped a family buy or sell a home every 25 seconds.
This is something Seychelle Van Poole Engelhard, REALTOR® at the Dallas Preston Road market center and CEO of Van Poole Properties, takes great pride in.
“Being part of helping our clients accomplish their goals and move forward is such an honor,” she says.
Macey Gloff, buyer specialist with the Van Poole team, agrees.
“It’s such a gift to be able to assist people in such a special time in their lives. Clients come to us with a dream, and being able to help make that into a reality and see how that impacts their lives is a blessing.”
Helio and Shila Zamora are two of the clients that Gloff describes.
The couple moved to Texas from out of state to start a new chapter. After seeing four homes, Gloff was able to help them find the house they wanted just in time for one of the biggest moments of their lives.
“We were able to close early before the new year, allowing them to get settled before they brought their first baby girl home in February. I am thankful every day for the wonderful people that have trusted us to be a part of their lives.”
Bryan and Katrina Parker
For KW agents, nothing is sweeter than watching their clients turn a house into a home and being a part of their journey. In 2007, the Van Poole team was able to help Bryan and Katrina Parker purchase their first home in Dallas – where they would later get married and bring their first daughter, Hattie, home to. After Bryan took a new job, the long commute was becoming more difficult with a baby at home, and in 2016, the couple partnered with the Van Poole team again – this time to sell their home. Van Poole Engelhard says the “10-plus-year relationship has been amazing.”
Every Keller Williams agent has a story similar to those shared above, and this month we are excited to share them with you! We will also address homeownership fears with facts on the KW Blog and release our first National Homeownership Month kit.
