Susan Scott Wraps Up Mega Leadership

Susan Scott, author of national best-selling book Fierce Conversations and upcoming book Fierce Leadership, wrapped up Mega Leadership Camp today by debunking some of the business worlds worst “best practices.” Two making her best “worst list” were:

  • Anonymous 360-degree feedback – Scott holds that trust requires persistent identity and that conversations ARE our relationships.
  • Holding people accountable – Scott asserts that accountability is only a personal choice and leaders cannot hold people accountable, but rather only hold them able.

Scott, a speaker at a previous Family Reunion, was welcomed to the stage by her personal friend Keller Williams CEO Mark Willis.

Bring the Light

In an inspiring interview with Mark Willis on the one-year anniversary of being declared cancer-free, Mike Zullo revealed how he was able to create a mindset of survival.

Mike shared with the crowd how “culture in our company and market centers is the reason we are so successful.”

Upholding his commitments, even while undergoing chemotherapy, Mike held daily inspirational all-calls to his team back in Asheville, North Carolina. According to Mike, “As a team leader, you have to check your ego at the door and bring light into the market center.”

How are you bringing light into your market center?

Liz Murray Continues to Inspire

Dianna Kokoszka welcomed Liz Murray to the Mega Camp stage again. This time to speak with Mega Leadership attendees.  Her message was too good not to share!  A few of our favorite messages:

  • “There are gifts in all of our lives.  If you’re looking for them, you’ll find them.  If you’re looking for the faults, you’ll find them.”
  • “What changes a life? One empowered choice after the next.”
  • “Its about mindset.  There is no middle man.  It’s up to you to make your life happen. No one else is going to do it for you.”
  • “Emotions are muscles.  The ones you work get stronger.”
  • “Be careful of the company you keep and the agreement they give you.”
  • “It’s not a different quality of human being that is successful.  It’s the work.”
  • “Some people like to call me a bootstrapper.  Nothing could be more inaccurate. I had help from some great people along the way.  No one gets there alone.”
